At Terry’s Boat Harbor, we take the “work” out of fishing. Your guide provides high-quality fishing rods, reels, bait, and tackle. You are welcome to bring a favorite rod if you prefer, but it is not necessary.

What should I bring with me on the boat?

The most important item is a valid Minnesota fishing license, which you should purchase before arriving. We also recommend bringing:

  • Weather-appropriate clothing (layers are best, as it’s often cooler on the water).
  • Rain gear, polarized sunglasses, and sunscreen.
  • Snacks and beverages (coolers are often provided, but check with your specific guide).
  • A camera to capture your trophy catch.
How long do the guided trips last?

Most of our private guides offer half-day (4-hour) and full-day (8-hour) options. Some guides also offer 6-hour trips or can customize the duration to fit your group’s needs.

Will the guide clean my fish?

What happens if there is bad weather?
