We checked the ice again today and found no real improvement from last week. Most of the ice was 11 inches we found some small areas with 12 inch ice and we also found some areas with 7 and 8 inch ice. DNR guidelines are 12 to 15 inches of ice for a medium size truck which would be a half ton truck. We plow with one ton trucks so no roads until we get more ice. Fishing has been pretty good overall some days have been real good others have been fairly slow. Snow and big winds for Thursday and Friday we will update again next week. I have been getting a lot of calls for fish house rentals most are for a few guys or a lot of guys who are not aware of the law for renting fish houses this winter. MN. DNR and MN. Department of Health executive order number 21-01 page 7 number 1. States limit rental of equipment that does not allow 6 feet of social distancing such as an ice fishing shelter to people from the same household. So renting a fish house with friends or family who do not live in the same house is not legal this winter. We are allowing ATV’S and snowmobiles out and they have been going out as far as the mud flats.
