We checked ice this morning we found quite a bit of 11 inch ice on the flats and in the bay. We also found areas where the ice was 8 to 9 inches. DNR recommends a minimum of 15 inch ice to drive a full size truck on. We are allowing ATV and snowmobile traffic. Walleye fishing has been decent most days in the bays ,rock points and the mud flats. Perch fishing this winter so far has been better than it has been in years. We cannot plow roads until the ice gets thicker we need at least 18 inches of ice for big bridges if cracks open up which sooner or later they always do.
