2/18/2021 I checked ice again yesterday the ice that was 11 inches two weeks ago is now 19 inches, the rest of the ice I checked was 20 inches plus. We now have roads to the following mud flats, Seguchie, Shermans, Sharks Tooth,Curly’s Banana,Busters and Rock Pile. We also plowed roads to St. Albans bay rock piles, Seguchie point and Byrons Rocks. We have a road to 7 and 8 mile but we are advising no travel to these because of a active crack. The crack goes across Seguchie flat where it narrows down on the south end and runs all the way down to the east side of the cut on Shermans. With the warmer weather coming this weekend there is a very good chance the crack could blow up. Ice and Fishing report 2/11/2021. I checked the ice yesterday. The places I had marked with the 11 inch ice is now 15 inches. The other places I checked the Ice was 16 to 16 1/2 inches. With this below zero weather we should gain another 3 or 4 inches by the weekend. I plowed a road to Curly’s flat and after that there was very little snow. The snow once you get out a few miles is minimal and so hard you can drive right on top of it and barely sink in. I am now allowing trucks and wheel houses to go out. Fishing remains the same as it has been for a couple of weeks. Some days are real good and others are slow. Fishing Report / terry Ice and Fishing report 2/11/2021. I checked the ice yesterday. Ice and fishing report 2/5/2021. We checked ice again yesterday and there was no change from last week. The ice on the main lake is 11 to 12 1/2 inches thick. This is not thick enough to plow a road and allow truck and wheel house traffic. We hope after the upcoming cold we will have enough ice to plow a road to the flats late next week. I talked with Mille Guide Tim Ajax out of Isle yesterday and he told me there are places on the south end that have only 9 inches of ice. For those of you who read this report and don’t believe and are planning on driving out this weekend. Beware not only will you be driving on ice that is not safe, with the impending cold there will be new cracks and they could be several feet wide. The possibility of being stranded out in the middle of the lake is very real. Fishing continues to be very good some days and very slow on others.
