Fishing Report

Look no further than Terry’s Boat Harbor for your Lake Mille Lacs Fishing and Ice Report. We provide update throughout the year.

Ice and fishing report 2/5/2021. We checked ice again yesterday and there was no change from last week. The ice on the main lake is 11 to 12 1/2 inches thick. This is not thick enough to plow a road and allow truck and wheel house traffic. We hope after the upcoming cold we will have enough ice to plow a road to the flats late next week. I talked with Mille Guide Tim Ajax out of Isle yesterday and he told me there are places on the south end that have only 9 inches of ice. For those of you who read this report and don’t believe and are planning on driving out this weekend. Beware not only will you be driving on ice that is not safe, with the impending cold there will be new cracks and they could be several feet wide. The possibility of being stranded out in the middle of the lake is very real. Fishing continues to be very good some days and very slow on others.

Fishing report 6/14/2020. Walleye fishing continues to be excellent. Most of the walleye’s have moved out to the mud flats however there are still a good amount of walleye’s still being caught in the bays and on the rock points. A lot of different methods are catching fish. Live baits being used are leeches, night crawlers and minnows, all are working depending on the time of the day and the presentation being used. Because of Covid-19 we have made the decision to not run the Launches this summer. Because of the wind incurred on the lake there is no adequate way of protecting the passengers or crew from the virus that could be carried by the wind and possibly infect everyone on the boat should someone on the boat have Covid -19. It looks like they will have a vaccine by the end of the year so we will plan on running the Launches again in 2021.
