Ice improved slightly this past week we found more 9 inch ice on the flats this weekend but we still found some 7 inch ice as well. The ice in by shore is now 10 1/2 inches. Walleye bite remained good in the bays, on the rock points and the mud flats. Perch fishing so far this winter has been better than it has been in years. Perch are being caught in the same areas as the walleyes. Northern pike fishing has been spotty and overall slow.
