  • 1/25/2026 The cold this past week kept most of the fisherman away. The few that went out did catch fish despite the cold. The bays, rock points and shoreline rock piles continue to produce walleyes, northern pike and some jumbo perch. Percentage wise the bays and rocks are producing more keeper walleyes than the flats. The flats are producing a lot of small walleyes some jumbo perch and tullibee’s. For minnows we still have shiners, pike suckers and fatheads.
  • 01/16/2026 Ice is now 17 to 19 inches thick. There is now a bridge over the pressure ridge so travel by truck and wheel house is possible to the mud flats. There is no longer any restrictions on truck and wheel house size. There is not enough snow to plow roads so make sure if you plan on going to the mud flats that you have a GPS. We have the following minnows for sale shiners, suckers and fatheads. A lot of small walleyes are being caught along with some keeper size walleyes and some jumbo perch. Northern pike fishing has been good in the bays.
  • 1/02/2026 Ice is now 13 to 14 inches thick we are allowing 1/2 ton trucks and single axel wheel houses in the bay. Anyone wanting to go to the mud flats will need a snowmobile or ATV, a snowmobile would be the best because you need to cross a pressure ridge. Walleye fishing has been good in the bays and on the rock points but the majority of the fish are small. Some jumbo perch and northern pike are being caught in the same areas that the walleyes are being caught.
  • 1/22/2025 Ice conditions are good 20 inches plus. There is very little snow a lot of slippery bare spots and rock hard small drifts on the lake. Walleye fishing has been slow due to the huge amount of bait fish in the lake. Some jumbo perch are being caught off the edges of the flats but not on a consistent basis.
  • 10/12/2024 Walleye fishing continues to be slow, warm water temps and a abundance of bait fish has made the bite slow. Some big perch are being caught on the flats but that bite is not consistent it has been good some days but other days very slow. Smallmouth bass fishing continues to be good a lot of people are now using small suckers for the bass. Some northern pike and muskies have been caught but very few people are fishing them.
